Spokane Rotary Club 21 is a service organization that has been supporting worthy projects and the needs of the community for more than 100 years. Our membership of more than 200 people represents a broad spectrum of the community – business and community leaders, professionals, small business owners, non-profit leaders – all with one focus – Service Above Self.

You might recognize some of our Rotary Club’s signature projects around town, including the Rotary Fountain in Riverfront Park and the Manito Park picnic shelter. We also provide funding each year to a wide variety of local organizations in our community.

Rotary Club 21 (aka Downtown Spokane Rotary) is part of Rotary International, one of more than 33,000 Rotary Clubs around the globe focused on making the world a better place. Rotary has been the catalyst in eradicating Polio Worldwide, contributing more than $2.1 billion since 1985.

Since Rotary became involved, Polio cases around the world have decreased by 99.9% -- from 350,000 cases per year in many countries to a handful of cases today. Only two countries continue to report cases of polio caused by the wild poliovirus: Afghanistan and Pakistan. Each year, Rotary and our partners have vaccinated more than 400 million children around the world against Polio. Our goal is to eradicate polio from the entire world. At this time, only one disease, smallpox, has been eradicated.

The Rotary Foundation has a long history of funding disease prevention and treatment projects that focus on health issues that impact vulnerable communities. We fund clean water and sanitation projects, maternal/child health projects, literacy projects, microfinance, peace & conflict resolution and much more.
